Cicadas are good in camouflaging with wood bark, especially when viewed from front angle. Side angle reveals a different story though. I used dark wood bark and evening sky to get black and white colours. Part translucent and part dark body of the Cicada added its only balance to black and white frame. Captured in Menase, Sringeri, Chickmagalur Dist, Karnataka, India. Hand held capture with Nikon D750 and Nikkor 200mm Micro lens, Aperture priority, , 1/1000 Sec, ISO 4000
