An Illyrian helmet, 6th century Bronze. Spherical skull with a rectangular face cutout, crest base contoured by stepped ridges, short neck guard, and articulated cutouts on the sides. Surrounded by a raised border with decorative pins with lentil-shaped heads. Holes for the chinstraps in the left cheek piece. Height cm. Weight 1030 g. Greenish-blue patina with light green in places. Small restorations in the skull and the cheek pieces. Axel Guttmann Collection (Inv. No. AG 516/H 169) acquired at Krefeld in 1994.
