Kinabalu Horned Frog Xenophrys baluensis tadpole head


Kinabalu Horned Frog Xenophrys baluensis has an unusual tadpole, with its head showing a funnel used for gathering food from the surface. It also uses the funnel for clinging onto rocks in fast current in its montane forest home in Gunung Kinabalu Sabah, in Malaysian Borneo.
