Tribute to the French vice-admiral the Suffren through the VOC. Bronze medal. Front: head of a classicist woman to the left, with raised hair finished in an elephant head, with a small crown on her head; Below an (antique) stir with fish and emblem VOC, which hurled a laurel branch; by circumcision, marked. Reverse: Inscription within Lauwerkrans. Commissioned by the VOC, the Suffren provides the Suffren for the French Vice-Admiral by him during the fourth English war (1780-1784), in particular at Cape of Good Hope and for the shores of Ceylon (Trincomali) and India.
