Cinnamon quills on hessian or sack cloth. This tasy and popular spice is widely used in baking and also in curries. It is obtained from the inner bark of several species of trees from the genis Cinnamomum, and is usually used ground, although it is often used whole in curries. This image shows both the interior and exterior of the quills, and is in focus to just over half way back. The top of the image is shallow depth of field, or blurry.
