The Black crowned Heron (Ardeidae) thrives in Wetlands, including salt, brackish, and freshwater marshes, swamps, streams, lakes and agricultural fields and can be found in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and Hawaii. It's amedium-sized, stocky heron has a short neck, a thick beak, red eyes, a black cap and back, and gray wings with white under-parts.
