C20th memorial window to Rev. William Jones above the vestry of St Garmon's church, Llanarmon-yn-Iâl, Denbighshire, Wales, UK, showing St Germanus of Auxerre, with whom St Garmon/Armon is usually identified. Wording on the plinth celebrates the bloodless Alleluia Victory, of British Christians led by Germanus, over an army of Picts & Saxons c. 447. Dressed as a bishop with crozier & a halo/nimbus with rays of glory. Above is a pre-Reformation (c. 1500) chandelier with an image of the Virgin Mary nursing the Infant Jesus brought from Valle Crucis Abbey at the Dissolution. Below, effigy of the knight Gruffydd ap Llywelyn ab Ynyr. Dedication at base of window reads: "To the Glory of God and in loving memory of Rev. William Jones for 16 years Vicar of this Parish. Died July 29 1921. This window is erected by relatives and friends.
