A carved French ivory tooth, 19th century Massive, hollow tooth, worked in two pieces and with continuous three-dimensional carvings. The lower part with juvenile portrait cartouche of King Louis XVI within an oval frame, with continuous inscription "LUDOVICUS XIV REX FRANCCOA" between tendrils, on the obverse side a crowned baldachin above two warriors with fleur-de-lys coat of arms. The middle section with three-dimensionally carved, intertwined, fighting animals in Michael Maucher's style.
