Isometrus maculatus, Lesser brown scorpion stinger (Isometrus maculatus).

Isometrus maculatus, Lesser brown scorpion stinger (Isometrus maculatus). A scorpion's stinger or telson is at the end of its long tail. A pair of glandular sacs produces and stores the various components of the scorpion's venom in the abdomen. At the tip of the telson is a small opening from which the venom travels into the prey. After birth young scorpions are carried around on their mothers back for 2 weeks as they develop. Murud, Konkan, Maharashtra, India.
