The two thousand meters in the Val Veny.

The Val Veny is an alpine valley located in the Aosta Valley at the foot of the Mont Blanc massif, south of the village of Courmayeur. It was shaped by glaciers in particular Miage and Brenva Baltea and the river that runs through it. It is divided into three main parts (starting from the high valley): a part parallel to the Mont Blanc range, between the Seigne Col (2,512 m) and the bottom of the glacier Miage; the middle part (plan Veny), characterized by grassy plain and the river end of the Val Veny Dora; Finally, the entrance of the valley, dominated by Mont Blanc and the final part of the Brenva (1,444 m). On the south side of Val Veny, near Courmayeur, is Checrouit Lake, situated at 2,165 m above sea level. On the opposite side of the valley you can see the Mont Blanc massif with the Giant's Tooth (4013 m) and the glacier Brenva. At the beginning of the valley lies the shrine of Notre-Dame de la Guérison. Wikipedia read more
