Commemorative memorial plaque to Guiseppe Delgrosso, drowned when Arandora Star sank in 1940. The Arandora Star was sunk by a German U Boat whilst deporting Italian and German residents, and German prisoners of war from the UK to Canada because they were deemed to be a security threat. Over 800 souls perished and numerous bodies washed up on the shores of Colonsay. Guiseppe's drowned body was found near Pig's Paradise. This memorial plaque was unveiled in 2005 near to the point where his body was found.
