Jacksonville, Florida - The remains of slave quarters at Kingsley Plantation, where slaves grew Sea Island cotton from 1814 to 1865. The plantation is now part of the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve. The slave cabins were made from tabby -- a mix of oyster shells, sand, and water.
