Upon the muster-in roll may be found two or threenames from Sennett, eleven from Owasco, and the remainderare from the city. Captain Hughes gave the ball a start, andLieutenants Howard and Freeoff helped it along. The earliest enlistment recorded is that of Clarence Horton,July 10th, followed on the 11th by that of William Cook, bothof Auburn. A few more were enrolled in July, but the majoritycame in August, a very few coming in after the beginning ofSeptember. CAPTAINS.
