A Dragonfly (Anisoptera) resting on long grass during spring

Dragonfly image taken at Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area near Calgary, Alberta, Canada. While I was looking for flowers to photograph I saw this dragonfly on the grass. The morning was still too cold for it to fly, which allowed me to set my camera on my tripod and get close enough to capture it in this nice composition.
