Cpl. Stephen L. Williams, a 19-year-old who has been serving in Vietnam for 16 months, operates a heavy equipment crane. His task is to meet the daily requirement of 20 to 80 truckloads of sand for road fills and sandbags. The sand is extracted outside Camp Jay K. Books Gate and distributed to FLC units in Danang.
