A protest against institutional racism took place at Nelson Mandela square in Madrid one year after the death of Mame Mbaye, a Senegalese street vendor who died while being chased be the police for selling on the streets. According to the demonstratord, the young man did not have any legal papers despite having spent more than 10 years in Spain and authorities did not help his family after his death. They also payed homenage to the victims of the New Zeland terrorist attack in mosques that took place today.
