Isaac

Isaac was the only son Abraham conceived with his wife Sarah, and the father of Jacob and Esau. In Genesis 22:1-24, the god of the Hebrews commanded Abraham to sacrifice Isaac on Mount Moriah. Before the patriarch was able to perform this task, an angel of the Lord appeared and stopped him. Abraham sacrificed a ram instead.
