Oor Wullie is a Scottish comic character which was first published in the Thomson newspaper 'The Sunday Post' in 8 March 1936. It features a boy called Wullie (William MacCallum) who lives in Auchenshuggle (fictional place) and whose trademarks are spiky hair, dungarees and an upturned bucket.
