3D model of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) complexed with tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 (TNFR-2)

3D model of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) complexed with tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 (TNFR-2). The model is based upon the Protein Data Bank entry 3ALQ. Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) is an inflammatory cytokine that has important roles in various immune responses, which are mediated through its two receptors, TNF receptor 1 (TNFR1) and TNFR2. Antibody-based therapy against TNF is used clinically to treat several chronic autoimmune diseases. The 6 protein chains in TNF are shown in shades of blue, and the 6 protein chains of TNFR-2 are shown in shades of yellow and orange.
