Colourful buildings on the corner of King Street and Pelham Street, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada


Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada was established in 1753 as the first British Colonial. The original layout of the "Old Town" has remained unchanged with some well-preserved wooden houses. Lunenburg was laid out as a model town according to the blueprint for British colonization of the mid 18th century. The grid-pattern streets have remained virtually unchanged in Old Town with the wooden buildings, working waterfront. Lunenburg is on UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Heritage List.
