We find in the Bhavisya Purana that Viuayakaused to be worshipped in the temple of it is not unreasonable to infer that theworship of Viuayaka in the form of an imagewas also prevalent among the Saura Magas invery ancient times and afterwards adopted bythe Hindus and Maliayana Buddhists alike. InNepal, Buddhists as w^ell as Hindus, evenat the present day, invoke the god Viuayaka atthe commencement of all work in order to attain ^
