Dahlia 'Caribbean Fantasy'

Decorative dahlia. The flower of Caribbean Fantasy normally looks like the top part of the flower in the picture. But several of these flowers produced the maroon 'skirt' (shown in picture) which developed as the flowers were partially breaking down. Plant outside when frosts have passed. Prefer sunny, sheltered position, in rich organic soil. Flowers all summer until first frost in autumn. Then the shrub can be cut back to 6" and lifted or left in the ground to overwinter.
