Accretionary stromatolites around Trichoptera cases (Limagne Bourbonnaise - Allier - France). It is a matter of a fossil made up of a limestone rock produced by microorganisms (cyanobacteria) which precipitate bicarbonate into calcium carbonate. They are thought to have converted - by performing free oxygen and ozone layer - the Earth's early anoxic atmosphere into an atmosphere which allowed a more complex life on Earth and in Oceans. Il s'agit là d'un fossile constitué d'une roche calcaire produite par des micro-organismes (cyanobactéries), qui précipitent le bicarbonate en carbonate de calcium. À l'origine, les stromatolites ont contribué à créer notre atmosphère riche en dioxygène et la couche d'ozone, ce qui a permis le développement d'une vie terrestre et océanique plus complexe.
