Having found one of the only shady spots available in the vast wilderness, these pictures show the laidback pride chillaxing and letting it all hang loose up to 20-feet high. With temperatures hitting over 32 Celsius by 8am, this premium location allowed the lions to rest up while still keeping a look out over their territory. From this vantage point they were easily able to spot any approaching prey across the large flat grasslands of the southern part of Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. Amateur photographer Alexandr Kirichko (50) from Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine was thrilled to see such a rare wonderful sight on his safari and got within 15yards of cat-nappers.
