Portrait photo circa 1900s of French statesman, physician and journalist Georges Clemenceau (1841 - 1929) - Prime Minister of France on two occasions (1906 - 1909 and 1917 - 1920). Clemenceau, often nicknamed "The Walrus" and "Le Père-de-la-Victoire" (Father of Victory), led France for most of the final year of WW1 and as one of the so-called "Big Four" Allied leaders was one of the architects of the Treaty of Versailles at the Paris Peace Conference in 1919.
