Less Celandine (Ficaria verna) aka Fig Buttercup is an introduced invasive species. While beautiful when its blooms carpet forested floodplains in early spring it has the potential to crowd out threatened and endangered species of flora that live in the same habitats. It is also a potential danger to livestock who ingest its toxic leaves.
