Largest land animal in world. Large muscular trunk, formed by fusion and elongation of nose and upper lip. Barrel-like body, heavy legs like columns, grey brown flapping ears. Less humped back than Indian elephant. Also known as bush elephant. Endandered species and protected, hunted wild cattle egret has a symbiotic relationship with some cattle as well as elephants. They eat the insects and grubs disturbed by the larger animals when grazing or browsing in a savannah habitat.
