Garda island -Lake of Garda.
The island of Garda, also known as an island Borghese is the largest island in the lake. Just a little over 200 meters from Cape San Fermo promontory that divides the Gulf of Salo from the Emerald Bay, measuring about one kilometer long and 600 meters wide on average. To the south of the island is a chain of reefs and shoals, which emerges at the end of the island of St. Blaise, also known as Rabbit Island, the island is located close to the rock from the Altar, so called as it is said that on it once a year to be celebrated a Mass at which assisted the fishermen from around the lake aboard their boats. Administratively the island belongs to the municipality of San Felice. read
