A late 18th century illustration of Verbesina pinnatifida (possibly) aka Verbesina greenmanii of the family Asteraceae. From "Plantarum rariorum horti caesari schoenbrunnensis", published in 1797, describing plants cultivated in the royal garden at the Palace of Schönbrunn near Vienna. Compiled by Nikolaus Joseph Freiherr von Jacquin (1727-1817), a Dutch scientist who studied medicine, chemistry and botany.
