The ruins of the Chancellor's House looking east at Ely's Ford Road & the Plank Road, Chancellorsville, Virginia. The Chancellors House was at the centre of the Battle of Chancellorsville and became the base for Union Commander Joseph Hooker. After three days of fighting the area was overwellemed by Confederate troops. The house was by Confederate artillery and finally destroyed by fire.
