Vintage photo circa 1910s of US lawyer, statesman and diplomat Elihu Root (1845 - 1937) - winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1912. Root served as US Secretary of War from 1899 - 1904, US Secretary of State from 1905 - 1909 and as a Senator from New York from 1909 - 1915.
