Orange peel fungus (Aleuria aurantia). The orange cups are fruiting bodies of this fungus. Like all cup fungi it is a spore shooter (ascomycete) and ejects its reproductive spores from small sacs in its cups. This fungus is found on bare, sandy or gravelly soil, by roadsides or in gardens.
