Two men walk amongst the sawn timber cargo washed up on Sussex beaches following the sinking of the Ice Prince.

Wood washed up on the beach at Birling Gap on the East Sussex coast as the cargo from the Greek registered cargo ship Ice Prince comes ashore. The Ice Prince sank in the early hours on Tuesday 15th January 2008 following storms off the south coast of England. The sawn timber cargo littered beaches along the south coast and in some cases the beaches had to be closed by police to deter the public from removing the wood.
