At a comparable diameter, Madagascan T. beantalyensis Collignon (1956: 83,pi. 10 (fig. 1)) (fig. 6A) has a flatter venter than the Angolan material; it is said to beconnected to contemporaneous T embergeri Collignon (1956: 84, pi. 10 (figs 2-3)) byintermediates. Tetragonites superstes van Hoepen (Kennedy & Klinger, 1911 b: 162, figs 7-8,12A-C) differs from the Angolan material in being more inflated, with only four faintconstrictions at comparable diameter. Santonian Tetragonites mitraikyensis (Collignon)(1956: 86, pi. 11 (fig. 2)) is more involute,
