Olive or Anubis Baboon (Papio anubis). Female asleep Ghana. West Africa. Mole National Park. A widely distributed species from West, Central and across to East Africa. The flashing and flexing of contrasting pale eye-lids are much used a a means of communication between baboons. Here female has completed a feed and young has dispersed to play, whilst she relaxes.
