St Anne & St Agnes church London: cross-in-square ceiling


St Anne & St Agnes, Gresham Street, City of London, was one of the churches to be rebuilt by Robert Hooke and Christopher Wren (after the Great Fire of London of 1666), on built between 1677 and 1687. The plan of St Anne & St Agnes is a centralized, cross- in-square, design. The central square is groin- vaulted, and rises from four Corinthian columns
