The Anglia in Bloom competition covers Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. It encourages communities to improve their area through floral displays and environmental improvements. Category Winners are able to compete in the RHS's Britain in Bloom competition. Hunstanton won a Gold Award in the 2009 Anglia in Bloom and a Silver Gilt Award in Britain in Bloom.
