The Battle of Camperdown - Kamperduin in Dutch - 11 October 1797, during the French Revolutionary Wars. It was fought between the British North Sea Fleet and a Batavian Navy fleet. The British prevailed. After a contemporary print by Thomas Hellyer from the painting by Thomas Whitcombe.
