An Italian iron powder flask,probably Brescia,circa 1600. Semi-circular,slightly tapered body. The front side shows fine longitudinal grooves,between them bands with engraved tendril decoration. Engraved reverse side with screw-fastened carrying clasp. Four suspension loops on the sides. Fluted and engraved spout with lavishly chiselled and engraved closure lever.
