Parallel Roads on the Hillside from Coire nan Eun on the Scottish Mountain Corbett Beinn Iaruinn in Glen Roy, Scottish Highlands, Scotland, UK.

The "Parallel Roads" of Glen Roy are lake terraces that formed along the shorelines of an ancient ice-dammed lakes. In all the lake levelled out three times and over the years wave action flattened the hillside causing three shorelines at 260m,325m and 350m before the ice melted. From a distance they resemble man-made roads running along the side of the Glen, hence the name.
