The acute angle light has picked up the texture of the wall it is on. This spider does not make a web to trap prey, instead it hunts it down at night. It's mostly found in houses, and most often seen when a light is turned on at night. It can inflict a painful bite on humans Many people fear spiders. This fear is called arachnophobia.
