1950s architecture Via Manzoni 131 Posillipo Naples

Project by Franz di Salvo (1949-50) and Vittorio Amicarelli (1952-57). Building of over 30 meters with six floors above a porticoed floor, in order to allow you to see the gulf from the street and three floors below the level of via Manzoni with the addition of a garden. The attention to the place and the study of the sunshine are the essential components of the construction: the walls tilt to capture the sunlight and the windows also lengthen, cutting out the classic views of the gulf: almost a watchtower at the corner of the panoramic via Manzoni and Orazio.
