Howick Hill Fort reconstruction of a stone age Mesolithic round house on the Northumberland coast

Close to the Northumberland coastal path at Howick are the remains of earthworks of a Mesolithic Settlement. Above the shoreline nearby just above Rumbling Kern archaeologists discovered the remains of a roundhouse and built a reconstruction which is still in place (2011).
