Pseudopecopteris (Sphp/ncpteris) decipiens, Lesq. GeoL Pa., 1858, p. 862, pi. 18, fig. 2, 2a/ easily mis- taken at sight for both Sphenopteris latifolia^ and for Alethopteris nervosa; but diff*ers from both by its remark- able nervation, the little nerves branching not from the middle but from the lowest nervule, which runs par- allel to and very near to the main (median) nerve.
