A bronze comb helmet, Early Iron Age, 9th/8th century A bronze helmet made of two plates with a narrow, protuding lower rim. The point of the large, triangular comb is slightly bent. Both halves of the helmet are fastened together by turned under edges or riveting. The front and back sides of the helmet overlap and are riveted with heavy bronze plates, each decorated with a circle and each with three protruding, bar-shaped spikes.
