The Monster of Krakow (or Cracow), was a deformed child reportedly born in 1543 or 1547 (as reported by Sebastian Münster, Cosmographia) with barking dogs' heads mounted on its elbows, chest and knees - the standard identifier of demonic handiwork. It reputedly died four hours after its birth, but not without warning, "Watch, the Lord cometh.
