Along exposure captures steaking headlights from a Metra commuter train that light up the night and the area in front of the train just prior to its arrival from Chicago at the local commuter station. The light from the headlights is varied as the main headlight is a constant source of light while the two ditch lights are rotated as a means of increasing awareness of the oncoming train. The rotation creates a more interrupted light source. The colored streaks of light are from running lights on the locomotive and interior lights from the trailing commuter cars.
