Sea anemones are a group of water-dwelling, predatory animals of the order Actiniaria. They are named for the anemone, a terrestrial flower. Cerianthus is a genus of tube-dwelling anemones found worldwide. They are versatile predators, scavengers and omnivores which live semi buried and are crowned with tentacles. When disturbed, they pull these back into their tube for safety.
