Euphorbiaceae (English name), also known as Erandu (Sri Lankan name) is ground and used in creams to help treat skin problems and minor pains. Erandu is also used whole and wrapped in cotton cloth pouches (poultices) that are steamed and pressed against the body to reap the same medicinal benefits. Erandu is good for the vatta dosha.
