Abstract reflections in the polished stainless steel tiled cladding on the Showcase Cinema, Highcross Leicester, UK
The photo shows one of the external walls of the Showcase Cinema at the new Highcross Shopping Centre in Leicester, England. The wall is clad in polished stainless steel "mirror" tiles which give interesting patterns and reflections of the sky and adjacent buildings. The centre is a fine example of modern architecture. The extensive use of reflective surfaces lightens the exterior appearance of the building and provides a dynamic changing view according to the weather and time of day.
